Travis began his career with Locke Lord LLP in 2005 after graduating from South Texas College of Law, magna cum laude where he worked on real estate, finance and M&A transactions. He attended undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin. Travis later went on to work on the acquisition side of land and mineral interests in Oklahoma and Texas. Travis's entry into the motor fuels and convenience store space was with Susser Holdings Corporation, where he worked on M&A and ground up development. Following the sale of Susser Holdings to Energy Transfer Partners, Travis worked for Sunoco LP. In 2016, Travis partnered with Owner and Founder of Refuel, Inc., Mark Jordan, to pursue a strategy to grow via acquisitions. In 2018, Travis and Mark formally partnered with First Reserve, a global private equity firm, and in May of 2019, FR Refuel, LLC purchased the West Oil assets to jointly pursue the Refuel strategy.
