Mark started with the purchase of one gas station in Charleston, SC in 1999. He built more there, eventually selling that company to in 2005. In 2008, Mark founded Refuel and began building more stores in Charleston, eventually partnering with private equity to focus on acquisitions and development. Refuel now owns over 200 stores in 5 states with more growth coming.
